1:43 am - Day of the Putty
I saw two putty-animation movies today. Both the new Wallace and Grumit movie (which was hillarious, by the way) and the Nightmare Before Christmas (again...). I'm getting a movie overload lately. ;)

Me and sis attended Icon, too. It's looking pretty good, but rather crowded. There's plenty of stuff I'd like to buy, but don't want to spend so much money on.
Oh well, I guess stingy guys like me will just download it off the Internet. ;)

Salutations to all from Icon!

Maybe next time...

11:47 pm - Finally!
There! I've done it. It took me almost a month of semi-constant reading, but I've finally finished Amber. Completely.

Worship me already!

Well, the series ends a bit weakely, though... I liked the end of the first saga better.

Maybe next time...

Yes! As of today, I am officially 18. I have become legal!
Hurrah!

I haven't been online for a while, because of Meitzar, but today I got web-access, so...

Also, I've recently found out that my cousin's wife is pregnent. So, yay once again.
Wow... I'm gonna be an uncle...

Being grown up is so weird...

5:07 pm - Packing Up...
I didn't really talk about this before, but this is my last weekend before I start Meitzar. Come Sunday, I'm really gonna leave home for the Mechina.

Wow... I'm really excited about this, but a little anxious, too.

12:05 pm - Last call
Well my friends, this is it.
In a matter of hours I'll be on a plane to Scandinavia, so this is the last chance I get to leave an entry.
So long, and I'll be back in ten days' time.

Peace!

1:07 am - Latenessness~!
It's somewhat late at night now, so I'll be a little brief.

I caught the Patlabor 2 movie the other day. I've got to say the first movie got me hooked to the franchise, so I'm a Pat-a-fan. The second movie was not as good in my opinion, and it was kinda annoying that the design for the Labors (which were beutifull in the first movie) got changed a bit. I still liked the movie a lot, and the change of heroes was nice and well done, though.
Which reminds me, Inspector Goto is uncannily like Hatake Kakashi. It's scary how alike those two are in disposition!

In other news, I got back on drawing, finnaly! I'm working to Tite Kubo's Bleach, which is amazing. Really. I hate that guy so very much. /envy

On that note, I know I like a series when I come up with original characters for it. All I need now is a name, dangit.

Bah! Bah and more Bah and DIE!

Maybe next time...

2:14 pm - That's it!
I've absolutely had it with it!
Up till now, I've been way too much of a lazy ass, but no more!
Starting now, or at least today, I'm gonna be a lot more regular on my LiveJournal, and start actually posting daily! Yeah!

And you know what else? I'm gonna draw more! Yeah! And maybe post it too!

Well, The daily streak will probably get cut off on Monday, when I go to Scandinavia on a family trip, but it will resume later...

Off, you foul slacker! Off the Ass!

Maybe next time...

1:43 am - Free as can be.
Summer vacation is really great. Don't have to do nothing, and I even get to use double negatives! Practicallly makes me get of my larder and start DRAWING!
...Well, almost anyways...

You know what really pisses me off, though? When people on download programs write "Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children", and I download it, 'cause I want to see the movie. Is it Advent Children, though? Is it? NO! It's a goddamn PORNO movie! I don't WANT to download porn, I want my AVDENT CHILDREN! Goddamn! What kind of a bastard would purposefully mislead someone like that, and why?! why Advent Children and not some other movie?! PISS OFF!
I've downloaded that movie 3 times, without actually seeing it. 700megs don't download easy, you know... >0

Anyways, that's that.

I really enjoy our (me and Ella's) Japanese class. It's really fun to learn (which I've been trying to do for a long time, before we found this class), and it's just really fun! For example, today our teacher envited us and her other students to a Sushi Party. Sushi's a pretty rare treat for me, so getting to eat it, and actually making it too, was really cool.
Our teacher even lent us some Japanese clothes, for those who wanted to try. It was really great. (There was, of course, also the... incident of Ella and the Kimono. Ask her about it.)

So yeah. I'm feeling pretty good. I WILL resume drawing this weekend, you just wait!
Now I'm off for some shut-eye, so 'Night to you all.

P.S. Before I forget, Our cellphone company just made a new commercial, with real honest-to-goodness Ninjas in it. That's so funny! It's a great commercial, too.

Well,

Maybe next time...

2:44 am - Lots'a stuff...
Well, three things happened while I was silent.
First of all, I saw the final Star Wars movie, twice. Secondly, our modem crashed, and last, I saw Sin City.
I already talked about Star Wars, and the modem got repaired quickly, so there's not much to say there... Oh well. Sin City it is then. ;]

Sin City was... interesting. There's no apparent plot, really. It's just several loosely connected stories, but the graphic effects were... nice.
I really feel angry about the character of Kevin, though. Based on the trailer, I got a mental image of what his role is in the movie. Based on a single sillhoute shot, which really reminds me of Father Anderson, by the way, I figured he'd be a lot LIKE the good father. What I got in return is the illegal love child of Hannibal Lechter and Harry Potter! What were you THINKING?!
Also, it's annoying that they only used red for blood some of the time. The color was meant to accentuate certain parts of the movie, but there's so much of it you hardly notice after a while, but still, we've all already learned to associate that on the silver screen red is blood. It's almost funny when a guy gets his hand lopped off and them I see the stump and think "Whoa... That's a lot of whiteout."

Bah. It's an okay movie. I was also annoyed that they didn't use the background theme from the trailer. That theme rocked!

Ah whatever. I'm spending too much money on movies lately.

Maybe next time...

9:01 pm - What a waste...
Well, I saw the Hitchhiker's movie the other day with sis.
Ugh. Just... not.
I just left the theatre with this great feel of loss. I'll just sumerize and say that if sis is right and they really worked on that flick for twenty freaking year, than that's a HELLUVA long time for such a shoddy half-assed job.
I don't really feel like ranting about it much, because I already did, and there's a show coming up. TV good.
Anyways, if you really wanna know my opinions, I guess you'll have to ask for them. ;)

6:15 pm - Ho Hum...
Ho hum indeed.
The Computer Bagrut Final was byond a breeze. It almost mocks all the effort I put into the year.
And I didn't even put in much.
Bah! At least I have another six free school-hours in my weekly schedule...
As if I didn't have enough already. ;)

As you should all know and worshiop us for, Israel won the Euro-League Basketball Championchip again. It's the first time in fifteen years a group wins twice in a row. That's because we kick butt and take names! (only we can't say the names afterwards 'cause they're kinda complicated)

Anyways, now I have to get the rest of my tests over.

MORE BAH! MORE!!

Oh! That reminds me of another (oh noes) brilliant concept I had.
You know how you order a pizza (don't like where this is going already, are ya?) with a topping of tuna?
Do they even serve toppings o' tuna in the states? I can't remember.
ANYWAYS!!
I've thought up of a way to ultimasize the tuna topping! Next time serve the pizza with a tuna topping, which is THE WHOLE TUNA! >.<
The brilliant thing is that tuna is like a hundred-plus-pound fish. It'll completely cover the pizza! It's like "Hey! We ordered pizza, so what's with the huge dead fish on our plates?! We want pizza! *sob*"

Anyways, it's a lot funnier to someone like me, who doesn't like tuna toppings. It's like "Oh, I have MY pizza. Where's yours? All I see is a big FISH! HAHAHA!"

Well, it's also kind of mean, but...

Maybe next time...

8:21 pm - I like sushi.
If you've never tried it, you really should.

Sporadic! Sporadic! All hail the great king Radish!!

Oh! That reminds me of a GREAT idea I've brainstormed with sis the other day (even though I thought it up on my own. She was just around being non-helpful-ish with her "punctuality" and her "logical-ness" >p). It's an idea that's so GREAT it has to be GREAT, because I've Caps-locked 'great' every time I mentioned it.
Pizza slices. X.X

You know have you have a Crossword-Sense-Puzzle? It's a crossword with little riddles as hints to the actual words you have to write down, so you need to figure out the riddle to know what the definition is. Usually it's something with a double meaning which fits two definitions, but is still hard to think of.

ANYWAYS!!

I've thought up the greatest crossword test of all time: The Crossword-NonSense-Puzzle!
It's a crossword where all the definitions have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the words for the puzzle.
For example: for the definition "A small, round, wooden object" the answer would be "Big moose on tuesdays". "A yellow fruit" would be for "Diabetic Ice-Cream", if you would.
Also, you know how regular crosswords are built as squares intercrossed into tiles, with some squares blackened out? Well, the NonSense puzzle will be drawn as a SPIRAL, with Spiderweb designs segmenting it. And instead of blackened out squares it will have great fabulously detailed pictures of snakes and small ferrets, with the occasional piece of Citrus Fruit added in for variety.

I've thought it up after a long day with little sleep. I like it already. >)

Maybe next time...

current mood: Tired, but content.

8:52 am - Haiku Spuff...

Again, taken from Miarr

Well, the Haiku spuff doesn't work.

Oh well!

Anyways, I've already had my graduation party, and it was a hoot. Afterwards we all went to the after-party and got all intoxicated and stuff. I really didn't drink that much, though.

Also! We finnaly found a Japanese teacher, and even here in Ramat Yishai! Now me and sis are starting to learn... But it's kinda awkward to know your level is lower than that of a 3-year-old... It's just weird. You finish twelve years of school, and suddenly you find yourself in a square-one type of academic situation. It's like you finished tweleve years a-learining, only to jump back to the start and do it over in Japanese.

But I really want to know Japanese...

In other unrelated news, Photoshop died and I don't know how to ressurect it. Really, even after clearing up more than enough space on disk, it doesn't work. I think the only solution is finishing the CS2 download and moving on...

Oh! Going back to graduation, this is REALLY annoying, because we're all graduates now, but we STILL have school! Our schoolyear ain't over yet, and never mind the finals! It's like "Hey! What'd I graduate for?! I'm still HERE!!!" >.<

So yeah.

Maybe next time...

1:40 am - Happy Passover!
We had a family Seder yesterday.
Whooboy, what a time.

We had a big family gathering at my aunt's house, and we all read the Hagada and had a great meal (with whooping big glasses to boot. Those things were HUGE!)
I really love the family Passover get-together. We always have a great time, with lots of song-singing and acting. All the little kids search the Ha'fickoman (although we always have one for each kid, so as to please the masses. ;p ) and all the grownups who helped the stashing give them discreet hints. The overall atmosphere is so great, you can't help but have a good time.
But then, my family kicks butt. That's a well known fact, and I love 'em.

Speaking of my family, I have a little cousin (3 years old or so) who is quite smitten with me. Really, out of a crowd of twenty, she'll zone in on me in no time! Whoosh!
That's not a bad thing at all, and I really have a great time playing with her, but...

You know how young kids are a hoot to play with, because they're so small that you can pick them up and spin them hither and tither. Summersaults, spinning around real fast, the works. They really like it, and so do you.
On the other hand, young kids nowadays have such an endless bundle of energy and vigor, that us grownups (yes, I consider myself a grownup) just can't keep up. You run, jump, toss them around and exhaust them, and as soon as you sit down to rest, they come up and cry "again!". What a horrible fiendish word 'again'! How can they be so energetic when I'm so pooped?! Why don't they rest?!

I'm just not built for this thing...

Incidently, and also lastly, since this post is getting large, my young and afore-mentioned cousin (who is named Gali, by the way) looks almost alarmingly like "Interview with a Vampire"'s Claudia. She has blond hair in curles that are not nearly as long, but in the general shape. She also has blue eyes and, for some reason, FANGS! I think maybe her teeth are still growing or something, but her feral-cutting-sharpish-teeth (-which-I'm-too-lazy-to-look-the-name-of-up) are really elongated and stand out. The overall look is not quite Claudia, but rather some bizzare unmistakeable how-Claudia-looked-as-a-kid. It's creepy.

Well, this was a long post, and there's a new pope (which is unrelated, but congradulations nonetheless) so untill next time, adiue~!

Maybe next time...

1:31 am
An actual talk I had with my 6-year-old cousin:

Him: Hey Oren, can you mail someone a mailbox?

Me: What? Why?

Him: What if you have a friend without a mailbox, and you'd like to send him a letter. Can you send him a mailbox?

Me: Sure! You just need a real big letter.

Him: Really? But how does the mailman carry it? Isn't it way too heavy?

Me: Actually, most mailing companies just send you a letter when you have a parcel to pick up. The mailman doesn't actually carry the mailbox.

Him: But where would they send the letter? You don't have a mailbox to begin with!

Me: Oh, that's easy. In that case they send another letter telling you to get a mailbox.

Him: But you don't have a mailbox!

Me: Okay, then they send another letter telling you to get a mailbox.

Him: But you don't have a mailbox!

Me: Then the send another letter telling you to get a mailbox.

Him: But you don't HAVE a-- Wait, I'm getting confused.

Me: It's really simple. They send you a letter telling you to get a mailbox, so that they can send the
letter telling you to get a mailbox, to which they'll send the letter telling you to get a mailbox, and then they'll send your mailbox the letter that they've got your mailbox and you can come and pick it up.

Him: I think I'd rather use the phone.

Catch-Twenty-Two-ish. ;)
